Hakomi Devon
The UK Hakomi residential in 2018 will take place from Saturday 14th to Thursday 19th July 2018 in the lovely surroundings of the Sheldon Retreat Centre in Devon. It will be lead by Senior Hakomi Trainers Caroline Braham, Sophie Cattier and Trudy Johnston.
The residential, like the UK trainings, will be multi-level so it will be relevant to those with some experience of Hakomi and those who are new to the method.
The gathering will be another wonderful opportunity for us to deepen our Hakomi practice together, enjoy each other’s company and celebrate and develop our Hakomi community in the UK. In addition, we will be able to enjoy the beautiful and extensive grounds at Sheldon in full summer.
Accommodation at Sheldon is in twin bedded rooms. Bedding and towels will be provided. The price for accommodation, tuition and food is £700.
We ask that you pay a non-refundable deposit of £280 to book your place on the residential and the balance of £420, also non-refundable, by 16th April 2018.
If you and another person making a booking would like to share a room together, please indicate this on the booking form.
There will be an option to camp in the grounds, on a first booked-first served basis, but only if all the indoor accommodation gets taken up. So, if you would prefer to camp, please book for indoor accommodation first, and indicate on the booking form that you would like to camp. If camping does become available it will cost £500 per person which will include tuition and food. If the house becomes full, I will contact each person who wants to camp in the order in which they have booked.
Four people have volunteered to cook for the residential. The meals will be simple and vegetarian/vegan. It is expected that participants will help the cooks to do some preparation for the meals and/or help participate in clearing up and washing up after meals.
Arrival is from 4pm on Saturday 14th July. Sessions will start at 10am on Sunday morning 15th July. Departure is after 4pm on Thursday 19th July.
You are welcome to stay at Sheldon on the evening of Thursday 19th July. If so, we ask that you take responsibility for your meal on the Thursday evening and breakfast on the Friday morning. You would need to leave Sheldon by 9.30am on the Friday morning, after helping with any clear-up that is needed in the public spaces before departure.

Sheldon is 9 miles south west of Exeter close to Dartmoor. Exeter has an airport and it has good rail and road links with the rest of the country.
